Putting together your bridal hairstyle

Hair accessories can be worn alone or several together. Hair pins are inserted one by one into the strands, for a light, spread-out effect. Appliqués, which are more flexible, follow the curve of a chignon or half-up style: the Gladys appliqué brings together three to four flowers with pointed, pearly gold petals, set off with mother-of-pearl beads.

Think about your hairstyle first. A low chignon calls for a delicate comb or a row of pins, while a high chignon can be adorned with a bolder comb or a tiara. Loose hair can be decorated with side slides or floral clips. Harmony with your earrings and necklace matters as much as the accessory itself.

Almost every collection has its own hair pins: Paulette’s three pearly daisies, Hanielle’s hydrangeas, Victorine’s leaves. So you can match them with a comb or a pair of earrings. The Gladys brooch, for its part, is designed for the witnesses, the bridesmaids or the bride’s mum.

Your questions

Which accessory should you choose for a bridal chignon?

A comb works very well with a low or side chignon, while hair pins let you create a lighter arrangement spread through the hairstyle.

How many hair pins will you need?

There is no set number: it all depends on the volume of the chignon, whether you wear a veil and the effect you want. Do a trial with your hairdresser; our article on hair pins gives guidance on placement.

Can I order several matching accessories?

Yes, you can put together a cohesive set with a comb, hair pins, earrings or a bracelet in the same tones.

How much time should I allow for a hair accessory?

Each creation is made to order. Allow 7 to 14 days of preparation at the workshop before dispatch. If your wedding date is approaching, write to the workshop before ordering.
