A workshop in the heart of Provence
Nestled in La Destrousse, a small Provençal village between Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, the atelier Le Baiser de la Mariée is a place of creation where every piece of bridal jewellery comes to life. It is here, lulled by the song of the cicadas and the golden light of the south, that Catherine Fages, master artisan, designs and handcrafts unique pieces made to enhance brides-to-be.
With a passion for working with fine materials — fine-gold plated brass, mother-of-pearl beads, resin, cold porcelain — Catherine devotes between 15 and 40 hours to each creation. Her craftsmanship, built up over the years and through hundreds of brides she has accompanied, allows her to transform raw materials into true wearable works of art.
The workshop is open by appointment for personalised consultations. There you can discover the collections, try on the jewellery and discuss your ideas for a bespoke creation, in a warm, intimate and typically Provençal atmosphere.

Why Choose Handmade Jewellery for Your Wedding?
In a world dominated by mass production, choosing handmade bridal jewellery is a deeply personal and meaningful choice. Here is why more and more brides-to-be in Provence and across France are turning to craftsmanship:
- Guaranteed uniqueness : Every piece is unique. Even within a collection, subtle variations make your jewellery truly one of a kind. No other bride will wear exactly the same piece as you.
- Personalisation : Dreaming of a crown that echoes the flowers in your bouquet? Or a pair of earrings to match your dress? With handcraft, anything is possible. The bespoke service lets you co-create your ideal piece.
- Superior quality : The materials are selected one by one: fine-gold plated brass, genuine mother-of-pearl beads, quality crystals. Every assembly is meticulous, every finish carefully done. The result lasts well beyond the big day.
- A story to tell : Your jewellery bears the mark of the maker who shaped it. It tells a story — that of a workshop in Provence, a passion for craftsmanship, and the love you have for your future spouse.
- Responsible commitment : Buying handmade means supporting a local economy and human craftsmanship. No industrial production, no overstock — just a maker, her hands and your jewellery.
Weddings in Provence: Our Inspirations
Provence is one of the most sought-after wedding destinations in the world, and with good reason. Its enchanting landscapes offer an idyllic setting to celebrate love, and our jewellery is designed to blend perfectly into this magical atmosphere.
Imagine your ceremony in the hilltop villages of the Luberon, where the golden stone of the bastides meets the warm light of the setting sun. Our flower crowns in natural tones — pearly white, powder pink, gold — blend into this Provençal setting as if they belonged there.
For a wedding at the foot of the Alpilles, with centuries-old olive trees as a backdrop, our gold-plated brass drop earrings catch the light spectacularly. The Calanques of Cassis or Marseille, meanwhile, offer a seaside setting where our delicate mother-of-pearl necklaces find a natural echo.
And what about ceremonies amid the lavender fields of the Valensole plateau? Our softly toned hair accessories harmonise with the violet and golden palette of these iconic landscapes. Each collection is designed to resonate with the Mediterranean aesthetic: lightness, natural elegance and golden touches.
Whether your wedding takes place in a Provençal mas, a château in the Camargue, or a wine estate near Aix-en-Provence, our creations are made to enhance those precious moments.
